Well lots has changed in my life since my last post. Jacob started school in August so I quit my part-time job so I could take him to school, pick him up, help with homework, and just spend more time with him in general. I am working at the barn full time. I have a new boarder, am giving more lessons, and riding a few more horses now.
Today, Jacob had his first field trip. Of course, I had to go. I went to the barn super early, came home took Jacob to school, ran home and took a shower, and met the bus at Johnson Farms. They have a gem mine, pumpkin patch, hay rides, a corn maze, peddle go carts, a few farm animals, blackberries, blueberries, peach trees, and they recently added apple trees that will start producing in a few years. We had a great time! I can’t wait until field trip #2. I am so proud of myself for taking the leap of faith and quitting my job. I love being able to spend more time with Jacob. Before, there was no way I could have gone on field trips with him. Here are a few pictures from our trip.
If you have a child and are in the Spartanburg SC area I recommend taking a trip to Johnson Farms.
